Mini reCool toolholders
22 Jan,2019
The Rego-Fix reCool coolant-through system is a quick, cost-effective, low-maintenance way to add the benefits of internal cooling to the live tooling used in CNC turning operations – and the expanded mini range of holders brings those benefits to small-parts production, especially on high-volume Swiss-style machines.
reCool converts an existing tooling system to include through coolant in 2 minutes. The system sends coolant to the cutting edge much more effectively than external spray pipes or nozzles. reCool applies to spindle speeds up to 12,000rpm and delivers coolant pressure up to 1,000psi (higher speeds and coolant pressures are optional).
Manufacturers who add reCool to their CNC turning operations remove heat from the cutting zone while they achieve better surface finishes, longer tool life, improved chip control and increased overall productivity. Furthermore, reCool's simple structure and special lubricated bearings make it an affordable, low-maintenance internal cooling system that provides ideal cooling of the cutting edge with either emulsion or oil and without scattering or spray losses.
Rego-Fix will showcase its new and expanded range of reCool miniature toolholders for smaller size ER collets in booth #5080 at the 2019 Precision Machining Technology Show (PMTS), held at the Huntington Convention Center in Cleveland, Ohio, April 2-4, 2019.
