NSK held groundbreaking ceremony kicking off construction of expansion

NSK is investing to strengthen R&D capabilities and HQ functions and enhance competitive edge

NSK held a groundbreaking ceremony on May 22, 2023 in Kunshan City, China, for the expansion of NSK's China Headquarters and R&D center.

The new expansion building is located in the Huaqiao Economic Development Zone, Kunshan City, with total building floorspace of approximately 21,000 square meters, and is scheduled to be completed in August 2024.

With this expansion, NSK will expand its presence in China, increasing the number of employees and strengthening research capabilities supporting localized technology development.

NSK China President & CEO Yu Guoping comment at the groundbreaking ceremony:

NSK will develop technologies and products in the Chinese market that meet customer needs with high speed, advanced methods, and competitive costs. With this expansion, NSK plans to further advance its research and development of cutting-edge technologies in the fields of industrial machinery, automotive bearings, and automotive steering, and will focus on the development of new technologies and products related to automotive electrification and digitalization, autonomous driving, CNC machine tools, high-speed rail, wind power, robotics, and medicine, among others. By combining NSK's core technologies with digital technologies, the company will provide high-quality, efficient solutions for China's industrial development, further contributing to China's modernization and sustainable development, as well as the economic development of Kunshan City.
