Schaeffler invites you to the "Night of Training" in the training center
24 Jul,2023
Extensive program on July 28, 2023 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m
Seven focal points in dual courses, six apprenticeships
Insight into transparent application procedures and training content
The globally active automotive and industrial supplier Schaeffler invites you to the "Night of Training" at the Schweinfurt location. Young people interested in training and dual studies at Schaeffler are welcome on Friday, July 28 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the state-of-the-art training center at the headquarters of the Industrial division.
In 2023, the event will focus on a total of 13 apprenticeships and study opportunities. "Such a wide range is certainly an absolute unique selling point in the entire region," says Uwe Geisel, Head of Training at the site.
In addition to the training occupations of industrial mechanic, IT specialist, mechatronics technician, materials tester, surface coater and industrial clerk, this year the event focuses on seven main areas within the framework of the dual study program: Mechanical engineering, mechatronics and logistics, robotics, IT, marketing and sales management, industrial engineering and business informatics.
Contact persons and trainees from all areas on site
In addition to the content of the training, the application process is presented transparently, as are the criteria for selecting applicants. The respective aptitude tests can also be tried out. Contact persons are available for every profession and every specialism, and trainees provide an insight into their day-to-day work. "In my view, the opportunity for personal exchange is one of the most important aspects of the entire event," says Uwe Geisel.
The training center has eleven technology cubes in which practical training takes place. This also includes robotics, CNC technology, additive manufacturing processes with 3D printers and augmented reality applications in the digital laboratory.
In all areas, visitors can try out tools and technologies such as VR/AR glasses (virtual reality glasses) for themselves and thus get to know elements of practical vocational training.
Bungee run, live music and Formula Student in the supporting program
Another highlight is the presentation of the Mainfrankenracing team's Formula Student racing car. The students from the Technical University of Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS), who operate the car in the racing series with the support of Schaeffler, show what the vehicle can do on a closed-off test track. A mobile pizza maker, a coffee bar and live music provide food and entertainment. You can test your own strength with the "bungee run".
