MK TOOLS’ 4-FLUTED RAMBO SPEED DRILL SERIES SOLID CARBIDE DRILLS
14 May,2024
Monaghan Tooling Group introduces MK Tools’ 4-fluted Rambo Speed Drill series solid carbide drills which cut short chipping material 3 times faster than traditional solid carbide tooling. Available in standard sizes from 6 to 20mm, 4XD or 6XD, with thru coolant or non-coolant fed designs. Standard models feature 4-flute geometry with 30° helix angle for superior chip evacuation, and 130°-point self-centering geometry for precision hole making in materials such as carbon steel, cast iron, grey cast iron, alloys, and other short chipping materials. Manufactured from premium carbide feedstock with the latest generation of CNC grinding machines, each Rambo tool features a chiseled cutting edge for more precise centering. MK Tools Speed Drills from Monaghan Tooling Group are available with industry-leading lead times. They are ideal for high-speed applications where efficiency is key, including connecting rods, injection pumps, wheel carriers, guide wheel shafts, and more.
With original OEM regrinding, including coatings, Rambo Speed Drills continue to deliver new drill performance and a low cost-per-piece throughout their long service life.
All MK Tools standard drills feature proprietary GTX coating, a multilayer aluminum chromium nitride coating that reduces reaming resistance for longer tool life and better chip evacuation. This and other advanced coating options for optimum performance, for new tools and regrinds, are performed in-house to reduce lead times.
With decades of experience in thousands of applications worldwide, MK Tools offers proven solid carbide tooling in standard designs. All manufacturing data is recorded for quality assurance. In addition to the Rambo series described, MK Tools manufactures a full lineup of standard sized solid carbide tooling for varied materials.
