New packaging design facilitates scanning of the Schaeffler OneCode and thus access to digital resources and services

Schaeffler Vehicle Lifetime Solutions has redesigned its product packaging. A clear reference to the Schaeffler OneCode ensures that workshops see this and the associated product-specific information in the REPXPERT workshop portal even before repairs are made. In addition, workshops can now collect even more bonus points, as the REPXPERT bonus program has been extended to all products in the Schaeffler portfolio.
OneCode: The digital key to Schaeffler's service world
The Schaeffler OneCode provides a direct link to product-specific information via a QR code on the packaging. This greatly simplifies the daily work of the workshop, because with just one scan via smartphone, repair-relevant, continuously updated information on over 40,000 Schaeffler products is available. Be it to the parts catalog, technical data or special tools. Particularly useful: Because the Schaeffler OneCode also contains the individual serial number of the article, it is possible to verify in real time that it is an authentic Schaeffler product. Last but not least, the Schaeffler REPXPERT workshop portal offers access to a comprehensive range of training courses.
Bonus points: From now on for all Schaeffler products
But not only the packaging design is new. Schaeffler Vehicle Lifetime Solutions has also expanded the REPXPERT bonus program. The most important innovation: Whereas bonus points were previously exclusively for repair kits and special tools, the workshop now receives points for every product from the Schaeffler range, which it can exchange for attractive bonuses. As soon as a Schaeffler OneCode is scanned, registered workshops can collect bonus points.
In the course of extending the bonus program to the entire range, Schaeffer Vehicle Lifetime Solutions has adapted and standardised the underlying system. The score of an article is now based on the average price of the product category and can be viewed directly during the scan or looked up using the part number in the product catalog. For individual repair kits, it may have changed due to the expansion of the bonus program.
"The importance of packaging is often underestimated. For us, it is one of our strongest means of communication in contact with workshops," explains Sven Olev Müller, Head of Schaeffler REPXPERT Vehicle Lifetime Solutions. "That is why we have further developed our packaging design to offer mechanics even greater added value in everyday workshop life. On the one hand, it can significantly speed up repair processes. On the other hand, because every single scan is now worth bonus points. In line with our mission, we are driving forward the digital transformation in the aftermarket, increasing the competitiveness of workshops and also reducing our ecological footprint – because we can now dispense with paper inserts to credit bonus points."
